1. The City of Ember Diorama

HOME LEARNING - Due Friday 1st April (End of Week 9)

This term we have been reading City of Ember. Your home learning task is to create a diorama that depicts a scene or setting from The City of Ember.

You can choose any scene or setting from the book, but you will need to think carefully about the details (e.g. the Pipeworks, Lina’s apartment, the Mayor’s secret supply room). There are copies of the book in class that you can use to refresh your memory if you need to. You will then need to use your creativity and imagination to replicate the setting of your choice in the form of a diorama.

A diorama is a 3D replica of a scene. See the examples below:

You will need to use your imagination to decide what materials you are going to use to construct your ‘City of Ember diorama’.

Learn your words and definitions for Week 8 & 9 and get tested at home. We will do our class test each Friday!
