T2 W3 - Digital Citizenship - Module 1!!

This week we are starting to look at what it means to be a digital citizen...

1. Digital Citizenship - Module 1 'Communication'

Complete the following activities:

- Step 1: Watch this video about 'distraction' and 'multitasking'.

- Step 2: Game

Estimated time: 20 minutes

Experience how challenging it is to operate a cell phone and complete another task well. Log into your Digital Passport and play 'Twalkers'.

*You will receive your Usernames and Passwords on Monday, Week 3.

Glue these into your school diaries.

- Step 3: Mission

Estimated time: 20 - 30 minutes

Your mission is to create a ficticious phone app that raises awareness about safe and responsible cell phone usage.

The Communication Mission will unlock on your homepage once you have completed all three rounds of Twalkers. This will be a pdf document.

Create a Google Slide in your 'Other' folder called 'Digital Citizenship'.

Your slide will be a collection of your learning as you work through the 5 different modules.

On your slide, copy down the module number, name, and questions. Complete the activity on your slide. You can decorate your slideshow each week to fit the theme of the module. For example, you may want to include images of cellphones or screenshots from the game 'Twalkers' on your title page.

I will go over this more in class.

Criteria:

- All questions must be answered in depth

- Use as many slides as you need to complete the mission to your best ability

- I'm looking for creativity and 'out of the box' thinking

- Slides must be easy to read (appropriate choice of font/colour/pictures etc)

2. Reading

Continue reading your novel each night and recording your daily reading in your reading log/school diary. Aim for 10 - 20 minutes of reading a day.

3. Maths

Complete all Maths Buddy Tasks.
